Clockwise was recently approached by seamstress Lydia Higginson for help launching Threadworks – an exciting new fashion hub in the heart of London. The space will be used as a hub for professional textiles workers in the week and a workshop for anyone wanting to brush up on their sewing skills at the weekends.

Lydia needed a short film to illustrate her vision and help crowdfund the project by encouraging supporters to book places on future workshops.

It was a pleasure to support a project that will pay tribute to London’s textiles heritage and ensure it has a future in the capital for many years to come. As Lydia says: “If you believe skills should continue to be passed down from heart to hand, any pledge you can give will be put to great use.”

Thanks to freelancers Luke Ogden and Sarah Edwards for their help on the shoot!
