We recently partnered with L’Oréal Professionnel International to produce a series of heartfelt video testimonials featuring four esteemed hairdressers, including Adam Reed, Nancy Stripe, Lois Bonsu and Hayley Jepson. In these videos, each stylist shared their personal journey with mental health, offering a rare and candid insight into the challenges they faced within their personal life and the industry. The goal of these testimonials is to inspire other professionals to join the Head Up course, a program dedicated to fostering positivity and kindness in hairdressing. Filmed at L’Oréal HQ in London, it was essential that we created a comfortable space for open and honest conversations. We have a good repour with the stylists having worked with them for many years and understand the importance of keeping the environment light-hearted but professional and ensuring the filming process is streamlined and un-obtrusive. Each interview lasted at least 45 minutes so our biggest challenge in post-production was condensing these deeply personal stories into impactful 45-second edits. While editing, we focused on keeping each story authentic and meaningful, aiming to encourage viewers to reflect on their own mental health and take the first step towards open dialogue.
