Climate change is the biggest challenge facing the world today and we all have a part to play in tackling the issue. We’re pleased to announce that Clockwise is now a climate neutral company. Using fewer resources Film production can be resource-intensive. We already take steps to avoid unnecessary travel and choose public transport over private whenever we can. We prioritise the use of renewable energy sources at both our offices and are working with our suppliers to ensure we are using 100% renewable energy in the near future. Offsetting our emissions We recognise we can do more. As of 1 January 2020, we are offsetting all carbon emissions generated by the work that we do, both internally and for our clients. We’re working with Carbon Offsets to Alleviate Poverty (COTAP), an organisation that uses carbon offsetting to help some of the world’s poorest people and create jobs in areas that really need them. You can find out about their work here. COTAP’s dual approach to tackling climate change and global poverty means our carbon offsetting efforts will have the biggest impact possible. The organisation is committed to full transparency and we are happy in the knowledge that 90% of our money goes directly to projects and only 10% to administration. How can you help? As well as offsetting our monthly energy, travel, waste and water usage, we’ll be making a 0.25% contribution to carbon offsetting on every project. We’ll also be adding an optional 0.25% donation for clients who want to assist us on this mission.* By addressing our carbon footprint, we hope that we can inspire and influence those around us to start doing the same.
