Bring on the summer at We Are FSTVL It may seem a long way off – but preparations are already well underway for this year’s summer festival season. We Are FSTVL will be one of the first to kick things off over the bank holiday weekend at the end of May – and we’ll be there to capture all the action. It’s been eight months since we were last filming at the ‘airfield of dreams’ in Upminster, so the long-awaited release of the 2018 aftermovie has brought back plenty of good memories! The film forms the centrepiece of the festival’s marketing campaign and is a showcase of everything that makes this weekend such a special one every year. We Are FSTVL always seems to be blessed with sunshine. That makes life a whole lot easier for our film crew as they set out to capture everything on our extensive shot list, using cameras with the highest frame rates to do justice to the festival’s huge production values. Last year provided an opportunity to catch up with plenty of familiar faces and interrogate the dance scene’s biggest names about the moves they rock out while behind the decks. Shout out to our presenter Rio Federika for bringing the energy. Senior creative Sim Higginson: “We Are FSTVL features 300 acts over the weekend, including a who’s who of dance music, and it’s our job not to miss a thing.
