In 2014, a 17-year-old Novelist dropped by the Resident Advisor office to freestyle on our cameras. A decade later, we reunited in a different setting for a project with Whatclass. From his early freestyle days to mentoring emerging talent, this shoot was more than a reconnection. It was a celebration of growth, collaboration, and creative continuity. Our video production team stepped in to capture the full story, bringing sharp visuals and fast turnarounds without missing a beat.

A lot has changed in the cultural landscape since Novelist first came through our doors. But some things, like his grounded energy and raw creative spark, haven’t. This session with Whatclass, a platform supporting artist development through mentorship and content creation, brought those qualities to the forefront.

Our role? To make sure the day looked and sounded as good as it felt.

When it comes to video production, anyone can shoot fast, but making it look great, fast, is where real craft comes in. This shoot was a textbook example of that balance. Tight turnaround, high output, and no compromise on style.

Novelist guided the session with calm confidence, breaking down his process and sharing insights with the next wave of talent. We captured everything: the moments of connection, the beats, the behind-the-scenes chemistry, all the magic that happens when you mix experience with fresh energy.

The trust we’ve built with Novelist over the years added something extra to this project. A natural ease on set. And that’s one of the hidden ingredients of strong content production: good vibes. When you’ve got a team that moves fast, shoots clean, and builds trust with the talent, the whole thing just flows.

We’re proud to have partnered with Whatclass on this project, and excited to see who steps into the studio next. Whether it’s branded content, social content production, or full-scale documentary filmmaking, we’re always ready to roll.
