We recently teamed up with Lidl to roll out video coverage of Patisserie Lidl, the supermarket’s piping-hot pop-up for London Fashion Week. This was the launch of the Lidl x Nikolas Bentel ‘Croissant Handbag’—which sold out faster than you can say “freshly baked”—this event brought the perfect blend of style and dough. Held at 55A Dean Street, the pop-up proved to attract fashionistas and pastry enthusiasts alike. With fans queueing overnight, the energy was electric as attendees clamoured to get their hands on the buttery-smooth exclusive croissant bag. Our agile run-and-gun crew whisked through the packed venue to capture every flaky detail—from the buttery muse itself, Lidl’s famed All Butter Croissant, as well as the hype and energy of the pop-up. Wanting to be the first to post about this PR success, LIDL challenged us to edit, colour grade and deliver this edit within 24 hours. Straight after the shoot Chris captured the footage and pulled selects, then Rob the editor delivered the edit that evening, utilising cloud-based editing software such as Lucid Link, enabling us to deliver the edits and RAW footage to the client quicker than ever before. The campaign was such a success, Lidl asked us to edit a campaign round-up video entry submission, which is being submitted to several major PR awards. Here’s hoping they bag a win—and maybe save us a cheeky croissant!
