Return of the Stingers - Influencer docu-series

Kia enlisted a trio of social media influencers to put the Stinger sports car to the test on a road trip across Europe.  Clockwise produced a documentary series and social media content package showcasing thee car’s features.

Execution

We worked closely with Kia’s creative agency VCCP to plan the road trip, crafting a week-long itinerary featuring a series of logistical challenges with plenty of content potential. The tour took in some of the most iconic driving spots in Europe, taking the influencers through France, Monaco, Italy and Switzerland, where we knew we’d capture some stunning aerial shots of the famous Stelvio pass, then back to the UK.

A feature-length stylised documentary was accompanied by additional cut-downs and teasers for circulation via social channels. This approach bridged the gap between advertising and documentary to connect with Kia’s target audience in an authentic way.

Social media reach was boosted with support from the featured influencers and helped Kia engage with a new audience of passionate motoring enthusiasts, resulting in a 360-degree campaign which repositioned the company as a high-performance brand with links to some of the top car vloggers in the UK.
